well my three years as chairman has come to an end.
its been an experience and i think, on the whole, i saw the club through its fair share of changes!
Things are not easy for a small club of our size. Membership remains steady but it is hard to see the lack of junior members coming to enjoy a spot of fishing.
There are obviously issues to be resolved with the second lake at Foxley and new data protection rules and child protection laws have been things we have had to look into and get up to speed with to ensure the club meets all the new regulations that are required of us.
We have started taking membership information and in the very near future you will get a full data protection statement in the constitution that will clearly lay out what we do with your information and how it is stored etc (in short we do nothing with your information except use it to generate next years membership forms so they can be filled out quicker! if we have your email address then you get the pleasure of the occasional email rambling from me as well!)
there is the issue of the Fakenham Angling Centre closing down and id like to take the chance now to thank Rob for his years of service selling our memberships etc
with luck you will be able to purchase new and future memberships from PaperKlip!
and ive been hoping to get "online membership purchase" up and running! so keep a look out for that in the future!
as i step down Tim Venes steps up! Hes been chairman before and spends alot of time and effort ensuring our health and safety reports are up to date, among other things.
So we, as a committee, continue to work behind the scenes to create pleasurable fishing venues for you and your families...sometimes its easy, sometimes its hard but it is always enjoyable and interesting.
